I moved to the Mac six months ago and I was desperate to find a replacement for Mind Managers that I was using for years on Windoz. The Mac version of Mind Manager is pathetic and does not seems to be a focus for the publisher (don't they have noticed yet that the world is migrating to the Mac ?).

Making research I found Curio 5 only recently as the editor does not seems to have the marketing muscle of some other editors. What a great discovery ! Not only it provides me with a power full mind mapping and creativity platform to replace Mind manager on my mac but in fact I find it much more powerful that the PC version of Mind Manager ! The approach of Curio 5 is quite different. It does not only focus on pure mind maps, like Mind Manager do, but it provides a full creativity workbench, in which mind mapping is only a (large) part. The way Curio 5 manages "assets" (images, files, figures, etc...) is unique. I also bough a pen and a tablet. Curio 5 + a tablet is an astonishing environment to free my creativity...

"I’ve watched this product develop for several years, when it was primarily as a mind mapping tool for the Mac."

That 's a strange way to characterize the development of Curio. Dedicated mind mapping capability arrived only with version 4. From the beginning, Curio has been a digital whiteboard and repository for creative project assets.

How ever one characterizes it, there's no doubting that Curio is way cool and getting better with each release.

I checked Curio 5 and it does look promising from a Project Management perspective.

It would probably be interesting to see the Project Management part of this product as an online tool.
