How to make money with your mind mapping software

But the fact is, it can have a real impact on your bottom line – because it enables you to think more clearly and completely, make better decisions, envision the future of your company, and more. Here’s a partial list of ways that mind mapping software can (indirectly) help you to make more money:

  • Map your customers and identify the most promising ones for targeted sales campaigns
  • Develop new products to sell
  • Create a map to clearly and more completely understand the evolving or unmet needs of your customers.
  • Analyze and improve your company’s business model
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste in your business – the savings go straight to the bottom line.
  • Map your current market segments, and identify adjacent ones with similar needs into which you can expand your marketing and sales.
  • Brainstorm the content of a white paper or information product (e-book) that will help you to dramatize your product’s or service’s unique selling proposition to potential customers.

  1. Making money – not sure but saving money – Yes I did!

    By avoiding long text when a simple map of clear ideas if what we really need, I save time and money.
    By sharing a vision on a map more than a detailed plan, I save time and money.
    By giving to my partners the possibility to build and colour a map with their own concepts and ideas, I mobilize their talents and save time and money.
    By sharing a roadmap (on mind map), I avoid errors, confusion and conflict and I save time and money.
    By using a sheet of paper when others need 20 or 40 to communicate their ideas, I save time, money and I protect the environment.

    That’s partly why I use mind mapping in strategic planning.

  2. I believe the monetized aspect of mapping out information is in the exchange value. When we create an information map; it may be a mind, concept, flow or argument format.

    The use value and associated content is what may indeed make it possible to gain financially.

    The Mind, Visual and Knowledge mapped formats can be marketed as templates for use by the users of specific products, or even offered in PDf formats for standardized viewing.

    Collaborative Visual mapping IMO seems to be where the monetized value is going to be for the foreseeable future. Models such as Comapping that is developing at an exponential rate is IMO something to seriously consider.

    The traditional Buzan mappers will keep on keeping on, and they keep on getting what they get; colorful maps they keep on revisiting to make them look even more appealing (sexy).

    What we have missed is the core of all Mind and Visual maps; INFORMATION!!!!
    yes; we create manage and exchange INFORMATION. This is the core, the centre of our knowledge universe. Data (when aggregated) becomes information, and when you contextualize information it then becomes knowledge, use it appropriately and you’ll monetize it.
