iBlueSky for the iPhone adds new export formats

Last week, I told you about a terrific new mind mapping program for the iPhone called iBlueSky. It offers impressive functionality and a clean, uncluttered interface that enables users to make the most of the diminutive iPhone’s screen. A few days after my initial review, the developer released a new version of iBlueSky that now offers export of OPML and FreeMind XML files, in addition to PDF and PNG so that users can now start a mindmap on their iPhone and finish it on their PC or Mac. Since this is a server-side change, users won’t even need to update their iPhone application.
The developer, Tenero, plans to add export support for other popular file formats in the near future. iBlueSky is available for download from the Apple iTunes AppStore.

As a new app this is a great start. I first looked at Mindmaker but this has two key features over that – cut/paste and export. Ideally I want a Mind Manager exprt format but in the meantime I go via Freemind. Emulating the capability of Pocket Mindmap (windows mobile) is ultimately where this needs to be. Looking forward to future updates/functionality.
