Mindsystems Pty. Ltd., a MindManager reseller located in Australia, recently launched a new program called Amode that takes the idea of visual mapping in an exciting new direction. In the process, it they have fashioned an integrated set of information management tools that will be very much appreciated by anyone who manages projects or large quantities of information.

Zengobi and Evernote today announced a new integration that makes brainstorming and idea collection quick and easy. Text notes, voice recordings, and snapshot photos taken using one of Evernote’s desktop or mobile solutions are now instantly available from within Curio 5.4 where they can be intuitively collected, arranged and managed as part of a creative project.

Last week, I posted a prediction that mind mapping software will hit an “inflection point” in 2009 that will result in substantial growth, and that this technology will finally enter the mainstream of business. As a next step, I decided to ask the developers of mind mapping software to comment on this prediction. They are closer to the actual users than most of us, which puts them in an ideal position to see the future direction of this software niche.
