Mind map templates are curious animals: They contain a structure of topics and subtopics, but don’t offer any guidance on the best way to use them to get work done. That’s why I created the new Templates Plus program.
Each template is based on best practices, drawn from 15 years of experience working with and writing about mind mapping software. These mind maps are fully realized and well-organized. They also include embellishments and details you won’t find in other mind map templates that will elevate your efficiency in your work.
The best part isn’t contained in the mind map itself, however. Each template also includes a video that explains how to use it. It walks you step-by-step through each topic, explaining in layman’s terms:
- Why each element appears in the mind map,
- How to use it, and
- Suggestions on other content and enhancements you can add to personalize it to your needs.
Why Templates Plus?
Last year, I conducted a brief survey of my newsletter readers. I explained my theory – that mind map templates alone don’t provide new users of mind mapping software enough information to use them effectively. I asked if I provided a set of enhanced templates with tutorial videos if that would be valuable. 80% of readers who responded said YES!
That sounds like a groundswell of support to me!
Meeting management template
The first mind map template in the Templates Plus series is a meeting management template. Planning and managing meetings is a perfect application for mind mapping software. On its surface, it looks like a fairly ordinary business task. But in reality, it has many moving parts.
