Millions of new blogs are created worldwide every year, but many are abandoned because their authors run out of things to write about. To combat writer’s block, a number of enterprising thinkers have assembled large lists of ideas that bloggers can use as inspiration to generate topics for posts.
There’s only one problem: Without exception, they are “kitchen sink” lists – long lists of unorganized ideas – a brain dump by the author of blog post topics and types that they have used or have admired online.
So I decided to improve upon these linear lists. I gathered some of the best blog post ideas from around the web, and organized over 100 of them in a mind map format. This enabled me to categorize them in some meaningful ways, so they are more useful to me when the well runs dry and I need some inspiration. I thought this visual list would be useful to many of you, too!
