Has this ever happened to you?
You have a compelling idea in mind for a mind map, which you’d like to use to embellish a report. So you open your mind mapping software and try to create it. But your software won’t let you move your topics the way you want them. They stubbornly refuse to move. Or the connectors between topics just don’t look right, and you can’t reshape them as you’d like. Or you can’t position an image within a topic shape the way you’d like.
As a blog publisher, I’ve been there many times. I count on being able to produce high-impact visual maps to accompany my blog posts. I often run into shortcomings, and find myself jumping from one program to another in an attempt to create what I envision.
I’m not slamming any developer in particular. I’m just pointing out that some programs give you more freedom than others to freely position topics and other elements in your mind maps. So if you’re evaluating software, make sure that it can create the types of visual maps you require.
