TeamDirection, a developer of project management solutions, has launched a new MindManager 7 add-in called IntelliGantt that enables MindManager to publish project task information directly to Microsoft SharePoint and Groove, without requiring server installation.
IntelliGantt adds an integrated Gantt chart view to MindManager, where you can add task duration data and assign tasks to team members. You can also specify which topics/tasks you want to share, with a simple right-click command. With a single mouse click, this application publishes your task data to the SharePoint server and team members that you specify. They can view the tasks assigned to them, using nothing but a web browser. IntelliGantt even integrates with Outlook to publish e-mails to the team members you have selected, with a link to the task document.
IntelliGantt enables two-way synchronization of task data, which means when your team members update the percentage completion or add notes to their tasks, you can synchronize them with your MindManager map using the application’s "update" function. Updated tasks are flagged with a special icon to make them easy to see. A screencast demonstrates how this works – it’s very cool to see it in action!
If your organization manages tasks and utilizes either SharePoint or Groove for team collaboration, then this is definitely a tool you’re going to want to take a look at. IntelliGantt offers a low-cost way to share your maps’ project data, without requiring everyone on your team to have a licensed copy of MindManager installed on their PCs. The application’s design is simple and straightforward; you don’t have to be be a project software guru to figure out how to use it.
IntelliGantt for MindManager 7 is available as a 15-day trial download. A full license costs US$349; subscription pricing plans are also available starting at US$49 per month.
