I recently participated in a Biggerplate Connect event that was focused on what’s happening in the fast-growing world of visual thinking tools. Entitled The Brave New World of Visual Thinking Tools, my presentation provided a comprehensive overview of 7 types of tools:
- Mind mapping
- Diagramming
- Concept mapping
- Visual whiteboarding
- Visual note-taking
- Visual writing and documentation
- Graphics and infographics
For each category of tools, I provided an overview, a list of the major players, some shining examples of top-notch content created using them and some unique things that made me go “Woah!” That included a handful of AI tools!
Here’s what Biggerplate founder Liam Hughes had to say about this presentation:
“Where does mind mapping fit into the wider world of “visual” technology? Expert @chuckfrey gave us an amazing tour of these tools and techniques.”
Webinar excerpt
Duration: 1 minute
Topic: What ContextMinds gets right about AI
New: Webinar resource mind map
As a follow-up to the webinar, I produced a mind map that contains over 45 of the tools, examples and resources I mentioned during the webinar. It’s a rich collection that’s waiting for you to explore!
Big insights here!
Here’s a tantalizing taste of what’s included in this information-packed presentation:
- The amazing tools that are creating value for creators in exciting new ways
- AI implementations that are NOT adding value (in my opinion) – and two that are KILLING it with remarkable, serendipity-enhancing functionality
- How the traditional, ubiquitous document is being reimagined in exciting new ways
- How today’s tools can revolutionize how you capture, nurture and communicate your ideas – with IMPACT!
Without question, this is the most comprehensive overview of this space to date.
If you want to learn what the top tools are in these areas, what you can do with them and what they make possible, you owe it to yourself to watch this 1-hour webinar recording.
Because it’s the property of Biggerplate, I’m only making it available to Mind Mapping Insider members. In the links below, you’ll not only find the webinar recording but a link to the resource map I mentioned above.
