Just one example:
XMind is currently moving in a direction that I don't like. The new "ZEN"-version is not usable for me due to the lack of project-management-facilities and the original XMind (v8) is obviously no longer supported (e.g. not working in a modern JAVA-env.). However, both versions are desktop-programms so as long I can make sure that the classical XMind (v8) runs on my machine, I have enough time to look for an alternative or hope to get ZEN to a level that is comparable with the classic one.
