MindMup is a free Google Chrome extension that enables you to create, edit and publish mind maps. I’m normally not crazy about browser extensions, but MindMup does a lot of things right, which I outline in my video review of it.
This browser-based mind mapping tool is simple and fast, and makes excellent use of keyboard shortcuts, so you can capture your ideas quickly. It enables you to save your mind maps to Google Drive, and even integrates with its chat tool – great for collaborating with your colleagues. I point out why that’s important in my review. In addition, MindMup includes a cool Storyboard feature that enables you to create slides from your mind map’s content – very clever!.
MindMup isn’t perfect, however. I expect a lot from the mind mapping tools I use, and there are a few areas where it doesn’t quite measure up. Watch the video to learn what those are, and whether or not I recommend this mind mapping application. Download the MindMup Google Chrome extension here.
