New MindManager resource site: Visual Bubble

Mar 7th, 2006 | By | Category: Software

VisualbubblelogoVisual Bubble is a new website that aims to be the MindManager resources portal. It contains over 100 enhancements for the popular business mapping software, including add-ins, maps, templates, map parts and wizards for MindManager X5 and MindManager 6. An annual subscription of US$17 gives you full access to all of the site’s resources.

My impression? Visual Bubble is a well-done website – very attractive and nicely arranged. There’s no question that it’s a good idea. But it needs more content. Some sections, such as "how tos," only have a handful of resources. But I’m sure that will change over time, as the site’s owners add more content to it. Also, as I tried to navigate from page to page, I kept getting Internet Explorer messages that told me that the page contains both secure and non-secure items, and asked me if I wanted to display the non-secure items. A bit annoying… [note: this has now been fixed - see the comment below]

I look forward to seeing how this site evolves over time, and how many original add-ins and components they plan to roll out. I plan to contact Visual Bubble’s owners to learn more about their plans. I’ll let you know what I find out!

  1. Dear Chuck,

Thank you for covering our new website, Visualbubble.com, for MindManager content. I read with concern the issue you had over the Secure item messages and this has now been resolved. Could I ask that if possible you change your hyperlink to a http:// prefix rather than https:// which it currently is.

We will be adding to this site every month with new items in different areas and we hope that users will provide feedback on content they would like to see in the website and if it is within our power we will endeavour to provide it.

Thank you for the poistive response you have given the site.

    Kind regards

    Nigel Goult
